Storytime is a kids’ magazine full of brilliant stories. It’s packed with fairy tales, myths, poems, fables and much more – all beautifully written and illustrated, with puzzles, games and colouring in too! Each month we highlight a classic children’s book, plus we have storytelling tips and fun activities to bring the stories to life. Storytime is full of colourful, engaging illustrations, all specially commissioned from talented illustrators from all over the world – and we have a NO advert guarantee! If you love stories, and feel passionately about encouraging children to read, then Storytime is right for you! “Storytime brings classic tales to children every month. The perfect way to start them on a lifelong storytelling adventure” – Michael Morpurgo – former children’s laureate

FIND NEW FRIENDS WITH FEATHERS, FUR AND FINS! • Join them as they journey across the oceans, high in the sky and to far-off lands!

THE MONKEY AND THE DOLPHIN • Many years ago, there was a sailor who found himself in a far-off port. He wandered through the markets and marvelled at the things the merchants were selling.

THE WORLD TURTLE • On a little island at the edge of the world, there lived a girl whose name was Repeka.

THE RED-HAIRED GIRL AND THE GOLDEN SUN • A ponibolinayen was woken up by the sound of her grandmother calling her.

THE ENCHANTED CANARY • In Flanders, there once lived a king who loved doing nothing. His only hobby was birdwatching!

THE KING'S EARS • The people of Ireland were very curious about their king's strange appearance. He always wore a hood on his head, with his crown on top of it!

THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL • When Fatima woke up, she thought she was at sea! The sand dunes of the desert looked silvery in the moonlight - like waves on the ocean.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT …

HENNY PENNY AND THE WONDERFOOD! • Henny Penny's favourite time of day was definitely breakfast-time!

THE GOLDEN CHAIN • The Yoruba people of West Africa believed that the universe was created by a supreme being, whose name was Olorun.

STORYTIME PLAYBOX • Draw a delightful dolphin, find a secret message hidden in a pile of books, and clean up the ocean with Repeka!

OCEAN CLEAN-UP! • Repeka asked the World Turtle to help her clean up the ocean. He agreed, and the whale and the giant squid joined in, too. Help your chosen animal pick up the most rubbish!
