Magazine

Storytime is a kids’ magazine full of brilliant stories. It’s packed with fairy tales, myths, poems, fables and much more – all beautifully written and illustrated, with puzzles, games and colouring in too! Each month we highlight a classic children’s book, plus we have storytelling tips and fun activities to bring the stories to life. Storytime is full of colourful, engaging illustrations, all specially commissioned from talented illustrators from all over the world – and we have a NO advert guarantee! If you love stories, and feel passionately about encouraging children to read, then Storytime is right for you! “Storytime brings classic tales to children every month. The perfect way to start them on a lifelong storytelling adventure” – Michael Morpurgo – former children’s laureate

HEROES COME IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES! • Some wear armour, while others wear hats! Some are furry, like bears, bats or cats!

THE CATS' ELOPEMENT

LEANDER AND THE RED CAP

THE BAT GODDESS • The beautiful islands of Samoa can be found in the Pacific Ocean. The Samoans consider themselves very lucky, for their home is blessed with warm sunshine, fertile soil, and seas that are full of fish!

BEDTIME FOR GULLIVER • When his ship sank in a storm, Lemuel Gulliver was washed up on the island of Lilliput. All of the people, animals and things in that country were tiny. The average Lilliputian stood only six inches tall – so to them, Gulliver was a giant!

NIGHT BEAR STRIKES AGAIN! • Penelope wanted to stay up Late, but after an hour of arguing, Mum finally persuaded her to go to bed. The girl slowly made her way upstairs, changed into her pyjamas, and crawled under her duvet.

THE MIDNIGHT CAKE THIEF • Long ago, when animals could talk, the hare met a nice lady-hare and decided that he wanted to marry her. She and her family lived far away in another valley, but they invited the hare to come to their house for dinner.

THE UNEXPECTED HEROINE • The village in Domrémy, in France, should have been a wonderful place for a girl to grow up. It had fertile fields where the villagers grew food, and beautiful green woods to play in.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT….

THE WILLOW WREN AND THE BEAR • It was a fine autumn morning in the forest. The bear and the wolf were enjoying the sound of the birds singing in the trees as they strolled along together.

STORY TIME PLAYBOX • Make your favourite toy into a superhero, create a bat box for Halloween treats and play a game where birds battle a bear!

BEAR VS BIRDS! • Can the willow wren and his flying Subjects defeat the bear in this battle of wits? Try out this fun game with a friend or family member!
